Candrice Heath, MD
Dr. Candrice Heath is a highly regarded dermatologist with over 20 years of experience in medicine. As the President and a founding board member of the Heath Health Foundation for Education and Research, she leads the organization’s mission to advance education, research, and community engagement programs that promote culturally conscious medical care. She oversees initiatives aimed at bridging healthcare gaps and addressing unmet needs within underserved communities.
Dr. Heath is an Associate Professor in the Howard University Department of Dermatology in Washington, DC. She is a nationally recognized speaker, pediatric and adult dermatologist, clinical researcher, and an expert in culturally inclusive care. She has held leadership roles to include Chair of the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance Skin of Color and Pigmentary Disorders Focused Study Group, National Secretary-Treasurer of the Skin of Color Society, member of the American Academy of Dermatology Diversity Committee, Professional Board Member of the Student National Medical Association, and serves on the Scientific and Medical Advisory Council of the National Eczema Association.
Her passion for fostering equal opportunity for health is deeply rooted in both her personal and professional experiences, recognizing the transformative impact of informed, compassionate care treatment on patient outcomes. Through the Heath Health Foundation for Education and Research, Dr. Heath is committed to building a legacy of education and advocacy that empowers both clinicians and communities to advance inclusive, patient-centered care.
Dr. Heath developed Culturally Conscious Dermatology™, a program designed to equip clinicians with knowledge and training needed to provide culturally sensitive dermatologic care.
